Waldhorn Restaurant a bit of German "Gemütlichkeit" comfort in Pineville. The Waldhorn is a charming, inviting, family-owned restaurant serving housemade traditional and contemporary cuisine, with the feel of dining in an Alpine chalet. The extensive menu offers soups, salads, and entrees such as Filet “Stephanie,” Venison roast, herb-crusted Rack of Lamb, or delicious Old World "Wiener Schnitzel," all carefully prepared from scratch. The restaurant has also received many awards for its mouthwatering desserts. An international wine list, 12 German beers on draft, and a full bar will enhance your dining experience. Husband and wife Thomas and Gitta Maier opened the Waldhorn in June 1999 and named it for Gitta’s parents’ restaurant in Germany, where Gitta grew up and studied the culinary arts near Stuttgart, while Tom graduated the Culinary Institute of America in New York.
