To understand the philosophy of Cantina is to know its owners. It all began with an appreciation for the way Mexican food is traditionally prepared. Unique by comparison, long before four walls were built, the inspiration for Cantina 1511 was born far from Charlotte in a place called Oaxaca, Mexico. Co-Owner Frank Scibelli, traveling on one of many trips to the region, became inspired to bring genuine Mexican cuisine to the Queen City. It's the perfect place to enjoy drinks outside, a sumptuous meal in a cozy booth, or entertain large groups of guests.
